“Mark and I were married in Hatton Village Hall, Warwick, with Martha Prince officiating as Minister, in front of our invited family and friends.

In the months leading up to the wedding, neither Mark or I were entirely sure what we wanted from the idea of a proper service. Neither wanted, nor indeed were allowed any religion, and were equally conscious of the comfort and understanding of our guests. We wanted a service that spoke about us, and about why this was important to us, but above all, we needed to make sure that it made perfect sense to everyone else too, that THEY ‘got it’; nothing too cheesy, nothing too OTT! That was where Martha stepped in. 

Through a couple of meetings, her skills, friendly approach, and generosity of spirit put us at ease and the end result was a uniquely designed service that completely met our needs, based on what we wanted, catering for us and about us but taking into consideration those around us. The finished, polished article was a service filled with love, spirituality and a good old spattering of humour.

Ultimately, all of our guests found that they fully understood the service, and the true meaning behind it, and many commented that it was possibly the best wedding service they had ever attended. For Mark and I, it was the pivotal point of the day – the important bit – the rest was a fantastic celebration, but the service was the key, and we could not have asked for anything better than that which Martha delivered!
